Make a small applique picture in a day. Finished size approx 20 – 30cm.

This highly creative and individual workshop allows each person to work on their own ideas with guidance from Kate .The day will start with some stencilling of foliage shapes onto a piece of hand-dyed fabric. Then, using bondaweb, we will be cutting fabric shapes and ironing them down as raw edge appliqué. The composition can then be finished with hand or machine sewing as preferred. Fabric birds will be provided, as an optional extra to create an individual piece. Ideas for settings and compositions will be given, with individual tuition for everyone.

Kate will demonstrate stencilling and the use of fusible web, composition, and free motion stitching.
