Workshop : E-textile lantern

Make a stunning night-light using a range of textile techniques, and make it light up by sewing in a circuit containing an LED light, with a switch and battery. It is possible to make this Christmas themed or general.

This is a wonderful creative workshop using interesting materials such as lutradur, markal pens, inktense paints and sewing too. You will be shown how to decorate your lantern, but the final design is up to you, although Kate will provide templates to follow if you prefer!

You will learn how to use e-textile components – specially designed for sewing, which will make your light shine! Everyone loves this workshop for the creativity and sense of achievement in making the circuit work!

Kate will provide e-textile kits, and bring lutradur and any other materials needed. This flexible workshop can be designed to be hand sewing only, or to use free-motion sewing on the machine.

If you are interested in booking this workshop then please fill in the request form or email Kate direct. Kate lives in Reading, Berkshire, but is happy to travel anywhere!
