Goldfinches Applique quilt

Description

Pattern  and instructions to make this wall hanging. The panel of goldfinches fabric is included, but you will need to select your own fabrics for the design. The background shown here was a commercial ombre style fabric. The leaves and teasels suit hand dyed or batik style fabrics.  The template is full size (A1) and the wall hanging is approx 65cm x 88cm finished size.

This project is completed using free motion stitch, to add texture and detail to the teasels leaves and birds. The instructions are fairly general – this project assumes a knowledge of fabric collage and free motion stitch techniques and is designed for individual interpretation.
