This large original piece comes mounted behind UV glass in a mottled contemporary frame
The work is 50cm x 50cm. Framed size is approx 68cm square
This textiles piece is inspired by Rhus cotinus growing through a fence near where I live. It is made up from many layers of fabric, cut, collaged and stitched to create the intricate, detailed composition.
Many layered and detailed, Rhus and Rudbeckia was inspired by a photo I took near where I live of a wonderful autumnal Rhus cotinus bush against the old fence. I added Rudbeckia as a splash of colour. All the leaf and flower shapes are cut by hand from hand-dyed fabrics.
